NFPA conference takes on growing interest in the green building industry

It’s estimated that the green building industry will reach $60 billion this year, and will create 2.5 million jobs. These are impressive numbers, but you’re asking, “What does all this have to do with the NFPA Conference & Expo, and why should I care?” Well, in an effort to support our member’s growing interest in the green building industry, and because of the increasing demand for LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certified professionals, NFPA has become a U.S. Green Building Council Education Provider.

That means that you can earn Green Building Certification Institute approved continuing education hours at this year’s conference. You can choose from 13 approved sessions in our “Green” education track, and apply the credit towards earning or maintaining their LEED Accredited Professional or LEED Green Associate designations.
