    Amendment of the NFPA Bylaws
    Proposed amendments to the NFPA Bylaws have been recommended by the NFPA Board of Directors and will be submitted for a vote of the NFPA Membership in accordance with Section 11.1 of the NFPA Bylaws. Review the proposed amended NFPA Bylaws. A copy may also be obtained by written request via U.S. Mail to Dennis J. Berry, Assistant Secretary, NFPA, 1 Batterymarch Park, Quincy, MA 02169-7471.

Action on NFPA 13R, Installation of Sprinkler Systems in Residential Occupancies up to and Including Four Stories in Height

During today's NFPA Association Technical Meeting in Las Vegas, the following action has taken place on NFPA 13R, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems in Residential Occupancies up to and Including Four Stories in Height.

  • 13R-1 Motion to Reject Comment 13R-1 failed.
  • 13R-2 Motion to Accept Proposal 13R-4 failed.
  • 13R-3 Motion to Accept an Identifiable Part of Comment 13R-53 failed.
  • 13R-4 Motion to Reject an Identifiable Part of Comment 13R-19 passed.
  • 13R-5 Motion to Reject Comment 13R-19 was not pursued.
  • 13R-6 Group Amending Motion to Reject an Identifiable Part of Comment 13R-16 and Accept Comment 13R-34 passed.

 NFPA 13R was passed with two amending motions. NFPA 13R COMPLETED.
