    Election of officers, members of the Board, and members of the 2014 Nominating Committee will take place at the NFPA Annual Meeting on Monday, June 10 at the Arie Crown Theatre at the McCormick Place Convention Center, Chicago, IL. Read the Report of the Nominating Committee.

    Amendment of the NFPA Bylaws
    Proposed amendments to the NFPA Bylaws have been recommended by the NFPA Board of Directors and will be submitted for a vote of the NFPA Membership in accordance with Section 11.1 of the NFPA Bylaws. Review the proposed amended NFPA Bylaws. A copy may also be obtained by written request via U.S. Mail to Dennis J. Berry, Assistant Secretary, NFPA, 1 Batterymarch Park, Quincy, MA 02169-7471.

Deadline extended: call for presentations for NFPA's Conference in Chicago due by 5:00 pm on Friday, Sept. 14

CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS -- EXTENDED
The 2013 NFPA Conference & Expo will be held June 10-13 in Chicago, IL. The call for presentations is now open. Deadline has been extended to Friday, September 14 at 5:00 pm (EST). Submit your presentation proposal.

Submissions emphasizing a specific product, process or manufacturer will not be considered. NFPA will review all presentation proposals. Selections will be made based on quality, relevance, focus, practical application, and on the presenter’s experience and credentials.

If your proposal is accepted, you will be required to submit a handout. Continuing education credits (CEUs) will be awarded for all education sessions. More details.

Video Conferencing

I’m glad the NFPA is preparing quite early for next year’s conference & expo. I wasn’t able to attend the last one but I’m hoping to attend next year.

Call Recording

Fine information and also nfpa data analyses began more than 30 years ago. This information is one of the key findings from the new NFPA report "U.S. Firefighter Injuries in 2011" highlighted in the November/December issue of NFPA Journal.Nice post keeps on posting this type of interesting and informative articles.
