NFPA Nominating Committee looks to 2013 elections

In this annual report presented at the NFPA Conference & Expo, Peter McMahon, Town Supervisor, Grand Island, NY, presided as three new people were named to the 2013 Nominating Committee. Elected were: Michael Snyder (Chair), Janet Knowles, Arthur Black, and Christina Francis (alternate).

Mr. McMahon reminded NFPA members that the nomination process for the 2013 Annual Meeting is underway. “The Nominating Committee is scheduled to meet in November to select candidates for election one year from now. It is certainly the desire of each Nominating Committee to have the best field of candidates from the Association available for these important positions. Please remember that it is up to you to see that the leadership of this Association maintains the high caliber that we have come to expect.”

Anyone wishing to be considered for nomination to the Board or Nominating Committee, or any members wishing to nominate others for consideration, should contact Assistant Secretary Dennis Berry at NFPA headquarters, 1 Batterymarch Park, Quincy, MA 02169. Nominations must be submitted by October 1, 2012.
