If it's a hot topic in fire and life safety, you can pretty much bet it will be addressed today at NFPA's Conference & Expo in Las Vegas. Sixty-eight education sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, including a featured presentation by Jay Jonas of the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) who survived the collapse of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2011.
Other topics on tap for today include fire protection in high-density libraries, fire detection in warehouses, unwanted smoke alarms, sprinkler protection for consumer fireworks storage, and an assessment of the hazards of lithium ion batteries.
Stay tuned to this blog for another day of coverage from our Las Vegas event.
