The Firewise Leadership Awards program is designed to recognize individuals and organizations who demonstrate exemplary work in furthering the vision and mission of the national Firewise Communities program at the local, state, and regional levels. The nominations for Firewise Communities Leadership Awards are open. Be sure to get your nominations in by July 31, 2009. Download the guidelines from the Firewise website or from the NFPA Wildland Fire Management Section website. – Jim Smalley

NFPA seeks public input on the proposed draft of NFPA 1091, Standard for Traffic Control Incident Management Professional Qualifications, 2015 Edition. Public input must be submitted by January 4, 2013.
