NFPA is down at Fire Rescue International (FRI 2011) this week in Atlanta, GA. Members of NFPA's Public Fire Protection, Fire Sprinkler Initiative, Electric Vehicle Safety Training and Public Education groups are all attending - so if you are also down this week, stop in booth #3203!
NFPA's Ken Willette, Division Manager of Public Fire Protection, attended a couple of co-located events while down in Atlanta. The National Society of Executive Fire Officers (NSEFO) annual "Polishing the Gold" leadership conference was one of these events. Below, see a photo from the conference of Dr. Richard Gasaway and Jack Snook making a presentation on fire service leaders dealing with the challenges posed by America's economic problems.
Ken also attended the Department of Defense Fire & Emergency Services Training Conference. On Wednesday morning, Ken spoke about how the NFPA and Air Force Fire Chiefs are working together to solve some of the challenges of the future.
