After what could only be described as an action-packed ROP meeting in San Antonio this past January, the NFPA 25 Technical Committee (TC) is back at it again. With a comment closing date of August 31, the NFPA 25 TC has its sights set on handling comments on the more than 350 proposals that were addressed at the ROP meeting. Among the major modifications accepted by the TC at the ROP meeting was a substantially "beefed up" chapter on watermist systems, modifications to the requirements for internal inspections and substantial changes to ITM tasks associated with fire pumps.
The findings and actions of the TC at the ROP meeting are not final. The TC is looking for input from the public (and committee members) on the items addressed in the ROP. The committee has continued to review their revised language and further refine the work that was done in January. To this end, the committee has established seven task groups to work on items including watermist systems, Annex E, and fire pump ITM frequencies.
We look forward to receiving comments from the general public to help get a better grasp on the ITM issues that the fire protection industry is facing. For more information and to see the NFPA 25 report on proposals (ROP), please visit www.NFPA.org/25.

Do you mind explaining why so many people who have worked on Mechanical Turk for years with thousands of approved HITs, even some of whom do it as a primary job, do not have this categorization qualification ("Cat Masters")? How does Mechanical Turk decide who is good at categorization?
