Mark Gryc and Mike Spaziani of FM Global with NFPA President Jim Shannon and Sparky the Fire Dog at NFPA's distribution center where it was all hands (and paws) on deck to get $50,000 worth of educational materials shipped to fire departments across the country, courtesy of FM Global.
FM Global, one of the world’s largest business property insurers, is fulfilling requests of 80 fire departments across the country for fire safety education materials geared toward children and others during Fire Prevention Week. The effort is part of
Sparky’s Wish List™: Partnering for Fire-Safe Communities, which is helping local fire departments facing tight budgets obtain life-saving educational materials.
Mark Gryc and Mike Spaziani of FM Global recently visited NFPA’s distribution center where they watched as $50,000 worth of banners, DVDs, coloring books, brochures, storybooks, stickers and other materials that will go to fire departments in 80 states and one U.S. territory were packed and shipped. During the visit, NFPA President Jim Shannon applauded FM Global for being a generous donor to fire prevention causes for many years and thanked them for supporting the public education needs of local fire departments through Sparky’s Wish List. Sparky the Fire Dog® was on hand as everyone pitched in to get items packed up and in transit to fire departments.
